Disability Tax Credit
As time goes on and our health and that of our parents starts to decline, be aware of the disability tax credit. We often are unaware when our health issues cross the line and become a disability. If any of these apply to you, or your dependant parent, ask me about the tax credit:
Markedly Restricted ability to perform a basic activity of daily living
Loss of mental functions necessary for everyday life
Unable to feed or dress oneself
Unable to communicate
Unable to hear
Losing bowel or bladder functions
Unable to walk
This credit is worth up to about $1,500 per year and can be used retroactively for previous tax years
